Introduction
Christin is a kind, shy, and socially awkward young teacher who just graduated with top grades. She is intelligent and hardworking; however, her quiet nature has always made it difficult for her to connect with other sims outside of her family circle. Her social life has been close to non-existent throughout her academic studies and career drive, until she found Dario, an old high school friend, on a dating app.
The two of them quickly reconnected, and soon enough, their friendship effortlessly flourished into courtship. Although she often felt insecure about her lack of expertise in romance, Dario's gentleness and loyalty were enough to reassure her and help her grow into a more confident woman.
The couple dated for a while, taking the time to understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Despite having different love languages, they worked to meet each other’s needs, learning how to communicate love in the ways that mattered most to one another. They even discussed parenthood, both expressing a desire for children in the distant future, and hinted that it was time to meet each other’s families. It seemed like they were well on their way to the altar, and that a proposal felt inevitable. It was only a matter of when and where, and Christin had already settled into the idea of becoming Mrs. Meshram.
It all felt like a fairytale until Dario chose a family funeral as the setting for their proposal! Surely, he didn’t mean to, or so she wanted to believe. Perhaps being face-to-face with the reality of death and the thought of ever having to live without Christin prompted him to do the sweetest thing at the worst possible moment. Either way, it was a proposal—unconventional as it was—that would be remembered for generations to come. She was looking forward to the big day, even if her social awkwardness made being the center of attention uncomfortable. However, today was almost as important: she was officially meeting her fiancé’s family at dinner, and she felt anxious at the thought of having her character put in the spotlight.
Seeing her parents meld with her fiancé's family warmed her heart. The prospect of marriage truly felt like the union of two families at that point, and that evening reinforced the conviction that she was on the right path. She aspired to a marriage as beautiful and harmonious as her parents'.
