The Sort of date 1
Over the next few sim months, Grace had been working with local businesses, writing about Henford-on-Bagley in her travel magazine and getting busy in every way she could. Zach, her partner in crime and faithful travelling companion was as bubbly as he's always been. The boy was growing fast and mastering most of the skills for his age. There was plenty for him to explore in the region, and one of his favorite activities was playing with and feeding rabbits. This was followed by a mandatory session of healthy homeschool work on the picnic blanket with mom, along with lunch and nap time.Zach absolutely loved water, and soaking in the river was one of his favorite hobbies. It was definitely much better than getting caught splashing in the toilet.
The mother and her son live peacefully with the simple things in life. Grace felt thankful to the universe for being able to provide her son with a childhood she never had and for giving her a second chance at happiness.
The boy was so tired that afternoon, after all the fun he had, that he could barely stay awake. It was time the two of them returned to their cottage for dinner and bedtime, since mom had a (sort of) date that evening!
It had been a while since anyone had taken a romantic interest in her—or perhaps it was that she, unconsciously, never allowed anyone else to get close after her disastrous breakup with Jessie? Either way, she felt nervous, yet excited.
Zach could be a little clingy, as much as she adored him, he was a true mommy's boy who loved to snuggle and be carried everywhere. She hoped the cheeky boy would stay sound asleep, for once, and allow her some personal time.
She would rather not have to abruptly step away from her (sort of) date—who's to say what Malakai would think?
